Looking for a Suno alternative? An honest comparison
Updated 26 October 2026
Suno is the best-known AI song generator, and for many people it is the right tool. This page is for people wondering whether something else would suit them better. We make Zonik, so read it with that in mind; we have tried to be fair, and everything about Suno here is from its public information as of October 2026. Check suno.com for its current plans.
The short version: Suno is built for making lots of songs quickly. Zonik is built for taking one song and finishing it: rearranging it, mixing it and singing it yourself.
Make a song free: two songs a month, no card needed.
Where Suno is ahead
- Volume. Suno’s paid plans give you far more generations a month for the money than Zonik does. If you want to make dozens of ideas and keep the best, that matters.
- Its own studio, covers, personas and a large community of listeners.
- Songs longer than Zonik’s, which run up to about three minutes per render.
Where Zonik is different
- One performance per song. Zonik renders the whole song in one pass, so the key, the tempo and the voice hold from the first verse to the last chorus.
- Singing it yourself is the point. Generate an instrumental, then use a paid Studio plan to record your own takes in the browser. Vocal separation is currently unavailable. See make a backing track and sing it yourself.
- Your melody as MIDI. On Pro and Studio the tune you sing can be exported as MIDI with project files for your DAW.
- A studio for people who never opened one. It is laid out for GarageBand users, not engineers: loop, trim, rearrange and mix without a manual.
- Clear rights by plan, including sync (film, TV, games and adverts) on Studio, and the AI disclosure that distributors ask for, ready with every song.
- Built on Google’s Lyria models, with Google’s SynthID watermark in every song.
