AI instrumental generator: music with no vocals
Updated 26 October 2026
Zonik makes instrumentals as well as songs. Describe the track (“an ’80s synthwave chase through neon rain, driving bass, no vocals”), switch on instrumental, and a full piece comes back in about a minute.
Generate an instrumental from the start when you want music without a singer. Vocal separation is currently unavailable, so an existing song with vocals cannot be turned into its backing track here.
Make a song free: two songs a month, no card needed.
Start with an instrumental
| Step | What to do |
|---|
| Generate | Choose instrumental when you make the song. Available on every plan, including Free. |
| Edit | On a paid Studio plan, loop, trim, rearrange and mix the instrumental. |
| Record | On a paid Studio plan, add your own vocal take over the instrumental. |
What people make with it
- Beats to rap over. See the AI rap generator.
- A backing track to sing your own melody on. See make a backing track.
- Background music for videos, podcasts and streams. Commercial use needs Creator or Pro; sync into film, TV, games and adverts needs Studio.
- Lo-fi, ambient, orchestral, jazz and electronic pieces to listen to or build on.
Take it further in the Studio
On a paid plan, open the instrumental in the Studio to loop a section into a longer bed, cut an intro, reorder the parts or mix it with EQ and effects. Download a WAV, or take the tracks and project files into your DAW.
Common questions
Can I make an instrumental for free?
Yes. Instrumentals count like any song, and the free plan makes two a month for personal use.
Can I use the instrumental in a YouTube video?
With commercial rights, yes: Creator, Pro or Studio. The free plan is for personal use.
Can it remove vocals from any song?
No. Vocal separation is currently unavailable, including for songs made in Zonik. Generate an instrumental from the start; Zonik does not import other recordings.
How long can an instrumental be?
Up to about three minutes per render. In the Studio you can loop sections to make it run longer.
